Important: Test your TLS 1.3-connection on the 2BA Accept environment

Dear valued customer,

In January 2027, 2BA will implement an update regarding the security of our data connections. To ensure continued secure data exchange, we are transitioning to TLS 1.3. We urge both users and software developers to test the compatibility of their integrations.

What does this mean for you?

  • Do you use software from an external vendor?
If your software is maintained by a software vendor or IT provider, they have also received this notification. In that case, no action is required on your part. If you are unsure, please contact your vendor to verify that your current software version supports the latest TLS standards (TLS 1.2 / TLS 1.3).

  • Do you manage your own integration or are you a software developer?
If you have developed software yourself (or had it developed) or manage API integrations, you must perform this test on our acceptance environment before November 30, 2026. Test your API integrations, scripts, and web services to verify that your client applications correctly handle the appropriate cipher suites and TLS versions.

Step-by-step plan for developers and administrators

  1. Connect your test environment to the 2BA acceptance environment via https://api.accept.2ba.nl and/or start https://unifeed.accept.2ba.nl/ within your application with a token.
  2. Perform a full data exchange (such as an API call or file transfer).
  3. Check that the connection is established without SSL/TLS handshake errors.

Are you experiencing issues during testing?

If you encounter handshake or connection errors during the test, please complete this online questionnaire. Once we receive this information, we will proceed with further analysis.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
